Hi my name is Ella and I am currently an 11th grader at Renaissance. The reason I joined Girls Build is because I wanted to give back to my community and be able to teach future generations about important issues they will face later in life. Although I am unsure of future careers I will pursue, I aspire to contribute to the STEM work field and inspire other young women who want to work in STEM. Hi my name is Alejandra and I am currently an 11th grader at Renaissance. The reason I am in Girls Build is to be able to teach and empower the future generation. Money is one of the most important factors that play a role in society which is why we are here to offer solutions to overcome possible financial challenges. I aspire to be a petroleum engineer and demonstrate to other young girls that it is possible to work within the STEM Field. A fun fact about me that very few people know of is that I dislike avocado since apparently people say it is really delicious.

Hi my name is Marilyn and I am currently an 11th grader at Renaissance. The reason I want to join Girls Build is to help other students learn more about financial literacy and being responsible with money. I think learning about financial literacy is important and can be very helpful to students in the future. My future goal, I aspire to be a doctor or a psychologist and help people in any way that I can. A fun fact about me that very few people know is that I love nature and animals and want to travel a lot when I am older.
Ms. Loo Team Coordinator
Ms. Loo is a high school math teacher that enjoys sparking curiosity in students of all ages. This is her fourth year facilitating ELARA's Girls Build team and loves the girls' enthusiasm to be savvy with their finances and impart knowledge in their community. Her role model is Angela Duckworth, the author of Grit. When she is not deciphering math problems, you'll find her spending time with her husband, 48-hour traveling, and dancing. Ms. Loo's favorite quote is from John Wooden, "Be true to yourself, help others, make each day your masterpiece."

Hey, my name is Daisy De La Rosa, a senior at Renaissance. One of the many reasons I want to contribute through GirlsBuild is because I want to give back to my community. A future goal of mine is to be an owner of an urban planning cafe that aids to the disadvantaged and agriculture. A fun fact about me that very few people know is that I am a “everything kid”, meaning I have many hobbies which to some people seem unexpected.

Hi my name is Emily. I am currently an 11th grader at ELARA. The reason I want to be in Girls Build is to share knowledge to my community by teaching them the importance of being financially smart. Joining this club, I had little knowledge about financial literacy and I want to give back by sharing what I have learned. Currently, I want to pursue a few career options.
